cool whip cookies

aka Kristin Chenoweth’s Crinkle Cookies

First, preheat your oven to 350ºF. In a large bowl, combine one 15.25-ounce box of cake mix (Chenoweth prefers strawberry- or lemon-flavored boxed cake mix) with eight ounces of Cool Whip. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined (the dough will be sticky!).

Next, use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to form tablespoon-sized dough balls. Roll the dough balls in powdered sugar to coat them, and then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for eight to 10 minutes.

Once finished, remove the cookies from the oven and let them continue to bake on the warm cookie sheet. Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.

Hot Mama Grade: C

Hot Mama Notes: These cookies are sickly sweet. Even for me, and I love sweet! Plus they are super sticky and hard to work with. I will never make these again. Just make normal cookies instead! I used French vanilla cake mix. I should have just made the cake!! It would have been better!
